Mission

Our mission is to educate and help individuals to increase their personal and professional growth to become competitive in the labor market. We help to connect employees and employers; providing trainings that support both parties with the opportunity to offer and receive a better work experience. Our vision is to help strengthen the ability of individuals to identify employers who follow good labor practices with the capacity to employ them.

Be a free alternative to address the problem of unemployment

Negotiate employment opportunities with employers for people with English language barriers

Advocate for employment opportunities and competitive wages

Work as a team to connect individuals with honest employers without a third party

Facilitate the provision of educational resources on worker’s rights and responsibilities

Offer tools and support to individuals and groups on:

  • Employment applications

  • Update or create a resume

  • Letter of presentation or interest

  • Unemployment insurance claim applications

JOB TRAINING

Progreso Latino's Job Club increased the workplace capacity of 12 individuals who completed the OSHA Training by Groundwork Rhode Island. We also thank Green View Tree Service for their generosity in sponsoring the lunch for the training. This training demonstrates the mission of the Job Club to educate and help individuals to increase their personal and professional growth to become competitive in the labor market.
